An alumni of Arroyo Grande High School, she then attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, graduating with a degree in English Literature. After college, she spent nearly ten successful years working her way up to Managing Editor of a national fitness magazine in Southern California, working for two of the three largest West Coast publishing houses, followed by Web Content Editor for the Portland Business Journal.
Ashlea returned to the Central Coast for her wedding and stayed to raise a family. She joined the family business in 2003 and began leading the Pismo Beach Homes team with her Mother, Kathi Foster. Ashlea has been a leading real estate agent in the Pismo Beach area for 20 years, and has developed a strong client following in the area based on her dedication to our community and outstanding customer service. Prior to BGC, Michael served as Chief Operating Officer and Board Director for Digital West Networks, where they were recognized as one of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies in the U.S. by Inc. Magazine.
Michael has led many merger and acquisition strategies. In 2021, Michael led the merger of Stand Strong and Rise as the Chair of the Board of Stand Strong, merging both SLO County organizations focused on fighting sexual assault and intimate partner violence. In 2017, Norcast Networks, Inc. was acquired by Digital West while he served as COO. In 2015, Digital West acquired AdSmart, Inc., as Michael served as the CEO of AdSmart. Prior to that in 2013, Michael served as COO of ElementsLocal, Inc. which was acquired by Bridgeline Digital, Inc., a public company in Boston.
